all things HomeKit and connected tech in one site.

Meross just doesn’t stand still and releases yet another new HomeKit device. This time it’s an improved bulb that not only has a longer range, brighter LEDs, and improved colour fidelity but will also support ‘Adaptive Lighting’ in the future.

With the Meross MSL120HK Pro, the Chinese company has a new HomeKit bulb with an E27 socket in its range. It is an improved version of the  Meross MSL120HK that  has been available for a while. Among other things, a separate antenna transmits from the inside, which should enable a significantly better Wi-Fi range.

The built-in LEDs have also been improved.  Instead of 810 lumens, the Pro model achieves a luminosity of at least 900 lumens.  In addition, the new LEDs should ensure significantly better colour fidelity, mainly with green and red light.

Adaptive Lighting will be submitted later

Meross has also announced a firmware update that will support the new lamp “Adaptive Lighting”. If this function is activated via the Apple Home app, HomeKit automatically adjusts the colour temperature throughout the day.

The Meross MSL120HK Pro can currently only be  ordered  in the USA and Canada. However, we assume that a corresponding model for the European market will follow soon.
